Marketing Strategy for Entrepreneurs
This is a half-day, hands on workshop for 15 entrepreneurs and SMEs to gain an in-depth understanding of marketing strategy and to develop a robust marketing strategy for their own business. You will learn the tools and techniques to design and upgrade your own strategy as you roll it out in your business. Most importantly, you will have a comprehensive marketing strategy specific to your business, clearly defined on paper, together with a set of goals to get you there.
This workshop will be divided into three parts…
Session One - Will clearly explain what is involved in putting together a robust marketing strategy to get your business successfully placed in the market. We will go through the areas you need to focus your attention on for the best results and will look at the tools you use to build a comprehensive and successful marketing strategy.
Session Two - This will be an active workshop where you will use the tools introduced in the first session to develop a clear marketing strategy for your own business individually. We will also cover roll-out strategy schedules and audience segmentation. As there are a maximum of 15 people, each attendee will have one-to-one consultation and guidance.
Session Three - Is where we get creative. We put the tactics together to build your marketing strategy and thus to develop your business. Examining the arsenal of options available including; branding, communications, web, digital marketing and social media, we build your actual marketing strategy, in detail, individually. We also, finally, work on goal setting to ensure that you have a manageable framework to work with and by which to measure your success.

Your Speaker…
Strategic marketing and business development expert Carol O’Kelly has worked with many high profile launch phase companies over the past 20 years, both in Ireland and the US. These companies include ESAT Telecom – as Marketing and Communications Director, BaltimoreTechnologies, HP and Agilent – as an external strategic advisor, AEP – as International Strategic Marketing Director and eMarconi – as CEO. Carol has in-depth experience with Enterprise Ireland “High-Potential” start-ups and has also worked closely with Venture Capitalists to ensure the successful coming-to-market of numerous major brands.
On her return to Ireland from the US, Carol launched Redstorm.ie, a strategic marketing, communications and branding agency in 2003. The company works closely with young brands, SMEs and established blue chip companies in areas such as retail, sports and leisure and high end technology, offering; marketing planning, communications strategy, digital marketing, online design and build, branding, graphics, business development and mentoring.
Carol is a graduate of UCD B.Comm, the Irish Management Institute and Harvard Business School. She also holds a first class Masters in Strategic Marketing from Smurfit Graduate School.
